the rain poured so hard. but then, we had to go this career seminar organized by the Department of Guidance and Counseling of the Faculty of Engineering. i just brought my flip flops with me in case we have to swim to the España Sea [
flip flops used in swimming? OMG! hahaha]. :D
according to what they told us, the seminar would be from 9am-12nn. but i arrived at almost 10am and it just started. haha. i came along with Kahlil -- nakasabay ko lang sa LRT.
first speaker was Engineer [
i forgot his name, my goodness]. siya lang naman ung Senior VP ng IT Group sa BPI. he was an IE graduate in 1983. he was just a simple student before; every semester ends without his professor knowing him. haha. natawa pa ako when he told us na he got 1.0 in Math101. bilib na sana ko kaso biglang sinabi because it was summer and it was his second take. haha. bat ako nag-summer din pero i never got that grade. hahaha. he chose UST over MIT [
Mapua Institute of Technology] because he believed that there were more beautiful girls in UST. haha. he's so funny. :P what i admired about him and made me inspire is his determination. i super want to be like him. haha.
intermission number. the dance presentation of Engineering Dance Troupe. i was very, very, very disappointed with them. hindi sila ung EDT na kilala ko. wala kaya silang coordination. parang silang mga elem dancer. haha. wala lang. alam ko marami namang sasang-ayon sakin. hehe.
second speaker: Ryan Christian Mercado -- the SUPER HYPER. hahaha! :D he is a Human Resource Manager in Thomson. describe him in one word:
MADALDAL. hahaha. he's so kulit! i soooper love the way he talked. he was also a graduate of BS Commerce Major in Business Administration in UST. at marami syang achievements and affiliations and work experience and Cum Laude sya nung Post-Graduate studies nya. so coool. :P well, he talked about Job Hunting Skills. it would be very applicable to us dahil sasabak na kame sa corporate world. geesh. i'm excited [
as najejebs]. hahaha! i took down notes on my notebook kahit alam kong magkakaron kame ng copy nung PPT presentation nya. haha.

i remembered the quote Ma'am Marissa left us to think about:
You can't leave footprints if you walk on tiptoe.
